All license agreements between HigherEdDecisions and its client institutions provide that applicant records and search process records are construed as the exclusive property of the college, university, or institution to which application materials are submitted through Consensus®.
HigherEdDecisions will not release applicant records to any 3rd party without the prior written authorization of client institution or a court order signed by a judge of competent jurisdiction (provided that the client institution shall first have opportunity to challenge the validity or jurisdiction of any such purported court order).

Consensus® neither solicits nor stores any Federally protected personal identifying information. The confidentiality of applicant records submitted through Consensus® is governed by the policies of the client institution. Unless you are notified to the contrary by the institution to which you are submitting application materials, all applicant records are construed as confidential personnel documents, not subject to public release without the prior written authorization of the Applicant – unless and until you accept an invitation for a campus-based interview.

The preemployment declaration you will be asked to execute in the on-line application process provides your authorization to disclose your status as an applicant and to release copies of your application materials to the public in the event you are selected for a campus-based interview.
